Cookbook¶
Short, copy-pasteable recipes. Each one is self-contained: what it does, the code, and a "verify it works" step.
Adding a recipe
Create a new .md file in this folder, add it to nav: in mkdocs.yml, and follow the template below.
Player guides¶
- Ranked Matchmaking Player Guide - short, plain-English explanation of ranked search, rank-range expansion, previous-result buckets, and why same-opponent avoidance is not a direct blacklist.
Investigations¶
- Browser Replay Display Feasibility Investigation - decision record for browser replay viewing options: local game launch, metadata/timeline display, local streaming, hosted video rendering, and why a WebAssembly SC6 port is not the practical path.
- Rollback Netcode Feasibility Investigation - Ghidra-backed decision record for SC6's online input path, snapshot state, replay reuse, and a minimal rollback prototype plan.
- Random Functions and Gameplay Impact - evidence-scoped guide to seeded battle PRNG state, nondeterministic audio paths, gameplay consumers, and replay/rollback-safe investigation.
- PlayFab Party Netcode Relay Investigation - documentation-only decision record for whether PlayFab Party could improve America-Europe SC6 route quality through QoS measurement, region selection, transparent cloud relay, optional direct peer mode, and custom Azure relay fallback criteria.
- Automated Rollback Netcode Testing on One Machine - practical local test topologies, harness gates, fault injection, artifacts, and limits for SC6 online/rollback experiments.
Asset recipes¶
- Export SC6
.motanimations to Blender - Ghidra-backed workflow for splitting HgMotion banks, choosing authored versus final-pose fidelity, exporting the matching rig, and baking normalized matrices into a Blender Action.
Native DLL recipes¶
- DotVanisher spectator timeout grace - standalone UE4SS hook that gives pending host-side watch spectators a bounded grace window during slow match loads.
Recipe template¶

**Goal**: one-sentence description of what the user ends up with.
**Requires**: native hook framework or injector, any other mods, Ghidra/dumper output, etc.
## Code

// your snippet
How it works¶
Short explanation of the hook/UObject used.
Verify¶
